How often are you able to acknowledge God in your life? How often are you able to say thank you or praise Him in the extraordinary or ordinary event of life? How often are you able to be humble and ask God for help? How often have you been the strength for others, where they experience God’s presence, to light their burden?

Our Gospel for this Sunday is indeed rich in virtues that are very helpful in our life. From the beginning of the text, we witness how Jesus praises God, how He is grateful for what the Father did to Him. Jesus in his  Humility is able to acknowledge the importance of his Father. He indeed acknowledges the importance of the things that His Father did to Him. I can imagine Jesus’ shout for joy, like a little child, for the great experience He has from the Father. And with that joy, He likes that we too experience what He experienced from the Father. In humility, Jesus is able to be like the Father for us. He transmits the love and joy He received. He wants that we too may experience the goodness of God. For He said: “All of you who are weary, come to me, and I will give you the rest”. Same experience He has, He wants us to experience the loving kindness of God. He wants that we too may share in His joy, for we are loved. And for this, in the Gospel, Jesus invites us to do the same, to share the joy of being with God in our everyday life. Praise and thank Him at all times, not only in good times but in all ordinary events of our life. The Gospel invites us to share the joy to others and, most of all, the Gospel invites us not to worry nor to be afraid, for He is always with us. Just come to Him in prayer and trust Him. Nothing is impossible for God.

Jesus is our model, let us be like Jesus at all times.
