REPORTS AND REFLECTION
Together with the entire Carmelite Order, we began this fourth day with a celebration of all the Carmelite saints. Fr. Miguel Angel reminded us that holiness is a path for everyone; it is dynamic, not a static state. He invited us to imitate them without forgetting to discover the saint next to us.
We then proceeded to share in a community of discernment the General Animator’s report on the signs of life and concerns about the realities of our congregation. We shared in plenary with a contemplative attitude, after which Sr. María José Gay addressed questions about aspects to deepen and clarify with sincerity, conciseness, and optimism.
In the afternoon, we listened to and reflected on the contents of the reports from the Areas of Secretariat and Identity presented by the titular of both, Sr. Marcela Jaque. It was followed by the report of Sr. Ines Fernandez from the Area of Formation. In their respective reports, they provided an analysis of the strengths and challenges we face as well as the horizons for moving forward. Personal reflection on their presentations will be shared in discernment communities tomorrow.
We concluded the day with a silent prayer to deepen the message we had received. And, of course, a fraternal dinner followed.
