In Manila, February 14 to 16, the CMT Sisters from all communities of Asia gathered together with some lay representatives of Palautian Family for the IV Delegation Assembly. In the ambience of fraternal dialogue and discernment for the Options that would guide our journey for the next 4 years, we joined our efforts to serve the Church: God and neighbor under the theme “Mystics of today. Guardians of life”. Accompanied by the Provincial Animator, Sr. Teresa Vives Pertusa and the Third Councilor, Sr. Veronica Blanes, we held dialogue guided by the methodoly of conversations in the spirit in the synocal way of discernment, searching for the inspiration in what unites us and inspires us deeply to answer to the needs of the Church in Asia.
On the Second day of the Assembly, Sr. Sharon Villafranca Sumagaysay was appointed as the Delegate for the Delegation Saint Lorenzo Ruiz of Asia. Sisters Eden Sales and Clarynse Subijano were elected as councilors. We give thanks for their generosity in accepting this service and we pray for strength and courage for them and carrying forward their responsibilities.
Time of encounter, serious dialogue corageous questions and humble answers: we continue journey as Delegation looking forward to the goal of our vocation, that is, to contemplate, love and serve the God in His wounded body, the Church. We make option for new style of relationships, for serving the most vulnerable, for interculturality, for caring for the common home and for economy that is sustainable and solidary, among others. May the Lord help us to make this dream become true.
